Vintage base ball is a reenactment of base ball the way it was played in the 19th century. The most familiar style played in the Mid-Atlantic region is 1860s (Civil-War era) base ball. The Friends of the Wissahickon is the oldest and largest of the nonprofit, volunteer groups active in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park system.
