'Tis the Season, Ladies and Gents!

Looking for just the festive holiday decorations and tasty libations to put you in the holiday spirit? Cocktails in Historic Places has just the thing. Trust me. You’ll want to be where we are this Thursday night, so please take a moment to confirm that your RSVP accurately reflects your intention to attend.

Our December event will be held at one of our member favorite locations from last year, the U.S. Grant Hotel, downtown. Those of you who were with us in November of 2007 will remember the AMAZING tour we enjoyed. I am hoping last year's charming guide Clifford will be able to replicate the experience for us once again. Still gleaming from its multi-million-dollar restoration, this place is perfection.

DETAILS:

Please join us for no-host cocktails this Thursday night, December 4th in the Grant Grill lounge at 7:00pm. Talk and tour to begin between 8:00 and 8:30. To locate the Grant Grill from the hotel’s 4th Avenue entrance, walk down the hall until you reach the lobby area. You will see the reception desk on your left. On your right, through the double doors, you will find the Grant Grill. Click here for a map to the hotel and to Google directions.


As always, cocktail attire is requested. Vintage cocktail attire is heartily encouraged.


PARKING:

Valet parking is available for the Grant Grill at an evening rate of $9.00 for three hours. Alternately, Horton Plaza is literally right across the street. You can receive three hours of free parking at Horton Plaza if you validate your parking ticket at one of the available kiosks. NOTE: The shops in Horton Plaza no longer validate parking. You must use the kiosks.

Other available parking options (rates fluctuate) are:

• Underground Parking at the Civic Center. Entrances just north of B street on 3rd Avenue on the West side of the street.
  
• Parking Lot next to 4th & B (on corner of 3rd and B)
  
• Parking Lot between 2nd and 3rd streets (between Ash and A)
